Two of my Favorite Artists

Holiday Cocktails

These drinks are easy to make and very festive for Christmas!

For this drink, simply take pomegranate juice and mix to taste with either champagne, sparkling water, or a lemon-lime soda like Sprite or 7-Up.

This is another easy one...champagne with cranberries.

And my personal favorite Frozen Cranberry Margaritos! This is a twist on the mojito as you add tequila rather than rum. In the freezer section of the supermarket, pick up a tub of frozen mojito mix. Add 3/4 c. tequila, 1/4 c. whole berry cranberry sauce, 2 Tbs Triple Sec, and 2 Tbs lime juice. Mix in a blender with ice to the 5 cup level and garnish the drink with rosemary and cranberries. You can also rim the glasses with lime juice and a mix of salt & sugar.

Christmas with a Modern Twist

The December issue of Seattle Homes Magazine featured a stylish home designed (and owned) by Interior Designer Graciela Rutkowski.

The simplicity of the garland with white lights is very elegant.

The entryway is dramatic with the dark grey walls and leopard print rug with a hot pink velvet chair nearby!

You can tell the homeowners have a good sense of humor by adding Christmas tree ornaments to the wood antlers.

A very traditional living room with a little flair added to the floor with a zebra print rug.

I like seeing a homeowner's personal collection displayed particularly at Christmas time.

Very cool dining room!

By itself, the red patterned tea set would not seem "christmasy" but the colors are right and added to the bright green tray and the natural wreath behind it, it is a perfect example of Christmas with a modern twist.
